NO LIVE PERFORMANCES IN 2009

Unfortunately, we’ve to announce that Bloodbath must pass this summer’s festival season. Mike and Axe have both confirmed they’re too occupied with Opeth and can not commit to any live shows with Bloodbath until 2010, the earliest. Recruiting live replacements for Mike and Axe have been considered, but is right now not going to be possible for technical aspects and neither appropriate for obvious reasons. So for now, we simply have to hope for more luck and better timing next year if Bloodbath shall return to the stage. With that said, we would like to thank all promoters who’s shown a great interest in Bloodbath performing at their shows and we’d also like to send our apologies to our fans for not meeting your expectations this time.

    OK, I can live with Bloodbath not playing in '09, but I've always been hearing that they don't tour in the States! WTF is up with that!?! Bloodbath as plenty of loyal fans in the USA that would love to see Bloodbath. But on the subject of no tour detes in '09, forget Opeth! They'll do fine, they have a good record label and will last. But Bloodbath should be your guys first priority!! Bloodbath can be a side project no longer!!! FUCK making money, make real music! Do something great for the fans!! LONG LIVE BLOODBATH

    Truthfully, its hypocritical actions like this that make me not want to support the music because of the personalities behind them.

    opeth and Katatonia are where these guys started. Bloodbath is kic-ass but the only reason we have Bloodbath's beautifull cacophony is the fact that it was a project band! done inbetween other commitments. If it works dont change it! Im still hopeing for a Nile/Bloodbath tour... *drools*

    I can´t agree more on the comments some people has made regarding Bloodbath only being a side project. They are WAY too good to not be considered a full time project! Hope I´ll see you guys soon!

    I'am totaly on the side of Sergio, Bloodbath should be more than just a ''project band''; I seriously think that on the fantomless mastery they achived a perfect album. I know the whole thing about Opeth and stuff, but jezz, it's a kind of lack of respect for all the true fans out there.

    Well, that does blow BUT -- it opens the door for an absolutely awesome double bill.

    Nile's new album is coming out this fall which means they probably won't tour until 2010 -- about the same time Bloodbath become available.

    I would be extremely excited, to say the least, if a Nile / Bloodbath tour were to occur. Very much indeed...

    Sad, that Bloodbath can't play any gigs this year. But that's not the whole world. Maybe Anders and Jonas can work on the new Katatonia record.

    And besides the most of the killerdrummers and singers are in bands. So it's hard to find replacement for both Axe and Bobba Fett. (Mike)

    Bloodbath should be touring the world all year. As others said, I cant only be a side project. Just here in Norway there are lots of Bloodbath fans now. Only the band can achieve what they want with the band, but as im sure you know, you got fans all over the globe who wants to see you live right fucking now!

    By the way; I think this whole message is just a hoax. I wouldn't be surprised if Bloodbath will be confirmed @wacken as "their only live show in 2009" or something. :P That would make me jump a wormhole in the ceiling.

    I think that you guys didn't understand 100% the meaning of this band.
    I am a 36 years old extreme metal fan, and in all that time never a band achieves this degree of perfection!
    BloodBath can't be a project band...
    sorry to Opeth fans, but we are talking about a very serious thing.
    I'm afraid that with this direction, BloodBath will not survive.
    A band needs live performances as we need air to breath.
    I'm really sorry, but I'm very sad.

    Arggggh, I was really hoping to see you guys @ Wacken. Especially because of your 10th anniversary.

    But why can't Peter Tägtgren stand in for mike, since he's already @ Wacken this summer with Pain and Hypocrisy? And I'm sure you could find a live replacement for Martin. (maybe inappropriate though) :(
