Unfortunately, we’ve to announce that Bloodbath must pass this summer’s festival season. Mike and Axe have both confirmed they’re too occupied with Opeth and can not commit to any live shows with Bloodbath until 2010, the earliest. Recruiting live replacements for Mike and Axe have been considered, but is right now not going to be possible for technical aspects and neither appropriate for obvious reasons. So for now, we simply have to hope for more luck and better timing next year if Bloodbath shall return to the stage. With that said, we would like to thank all promoters who’s shown a great interest in Bloodbath performing at their shows and we’d also like to send our apologies to our fans for not meeting your expectations this time.

MetalSucks is teaming up Bloodbath to give away a really fucking sweet Per ‘Sodomizer’ Eriksson signature model Mayones guitar. To win, all you have to do is:
- Take a picture of yourself making your most metal face (if you don’t know what a “metal face” is, congratulations, you’re disqualified from the contest and probably should not even be reading this website).
- Send in that picture using the form below, and fill out the rest of the required information.
- Live in the U.S. Sorry international folks, but shipping a guitar across the world is muy costoso.
The winner will be selected on Monday, January 19th. This oughtta be fun; last time we did a “Metal Face” contest we got some hilarious entries. The signup form is after the jump, and only those who fill out the entire form will be considered. Have fun, and good luck.

Together with director Owe Lingwall and Village Road Film we just shot the first official promo video in the band’s history for ‘Hades Rising’ taken off The Fathomless Mastery. The footage of the band’s performance was shot on location in Vallentuna outside Stockholm and can be summoned up as some serious headbanging with lots of blood, real messy and death metal dandy! The rest of the plot/storyline is currently filmed in Umeå where the footage will also be edited within the next 4 weeks. Stay tuned for a synopsis of this very devilish manuscript. It’s gonna crush the souls of thousands!

The album also seem to have charted various positions on almost any other writer’s and reader’s year end poll of 2008, so it seems Bloodbath made it clear that real death metal is to be reckoned with! Cheers and thanks for the support!

The days are cold and will remain so a long while for many of us. We decided to revive the zipper hoodie and go beyond the simple Bloodbath logo this time around. We have striking original artwork by Alex Norman printed on a high quality black 100% cotton American Apparel zipper hoodie. Artwork features the Bloodbath logo with a vicious skull and snake design beneath, dripping in blood. See the design in closer detail. American Apparel hoodies are generally a little smaller than other brands, view this size chart to choose the proper size for you. Printed on the left side of the hoodie.
PRE-ORDER NOW. This item will begin shipping week of January 12th

We have just learned that our latest shirt design (front, back) has run into some controversy. Actually, It’s been a bit of a rocky road from the start with this one. Back at the sketch board, some of our art direction ideas were met by hesitation and according to the designer would feel “uncomfortable to do”. However, the design went through and obviously with such a fantastic piece of artwork and beautiful symbolism the t-shirt has hit home with Bloodbath’s audience all over the world, but apparently a demon vomiting on Jesus on a cross, surrounded by snakes, vultures and skulls was over the line for some confused ” death metal” fans. Perhaps they should ask themselves if it was really death metal they were searching for in the first place. Here are examples of some Dr Phil approved quotes we recieved:
“Recently saw your t-shirt “Mock The Cross.” It seems rather childish and immature not to mention very dangerous, to ridicule Christ. Why such disdainment for the incarnate God who died to save all mankind, even your sorry asses! If you have a problem with organized religion that’s one thing. It has little to do with Christ and His life and teachings. Of course if you curse Him in apparent ignorance, then you wouldn’t know the difference. Hell won’t be a cool place to be. The power of the cross is foolishness to those perishing.”
“I Don’t care about all the satan woreshippers that are gonna flame me. But, BloodBath YOU JUST LOST A FAN. On that degrading shirt. I believe what i believe. I rather not have bands mock it. This band is done. Never again. See you on judgment day.”
To top it off, we also just recieved the following message from Raw Talent, the printer of the merchandise:
“I have just been informed by the owner of the company that unfortunately we will not be able to print the “mock the cross” design again for you guys. It is against the owner’s moral and ethical standard for himself and also for the company. He wanted me to let you know and to send his apologies.”
With that said, let’s get the weak aside and the Bloodbath choir ready to mock the fucking cross again as we moved on to a new printer for our latest over the top ‘Iesous’ shirt design. Original artwork by Alex Norman features a detailed drawing of a dead Jesus with a crown of thorns and blind eyes, bleeding crosses in the background on both sides, and his hair engulfing skulls and the Bloodbath logo. The back features a cross dripping in blood with the lyrics: “Eeso Yeshua Iesous Die by Our Rage”. The design was also printed using a technique which results in the ink becoming one with the fabric, creating a soft vintage look and feel. Not a shirt to miss, grab one now!

If you haven’t already checked out the new sick shirt design, do it now because we pulled out all the stops on this one. The original artwork was done by Jeff Finley and features a winged demon vomiting on Jesus on a cross, surrounded by snakes, vultures on tree and a ton of fine detail to be found, capped by the Bloodbath logo on top. The back features the text “Mock the Cross” with the demon from the front in red. The design was also printed using a technique which results in the ink becoming one with the fabric, creating a soft vintage look and feel. Not a shirt to miss, so grab one now!
There are also rumours saying that Bloodbath might shoot a video for one of the songs off The Fathomless Mastery and we can confirm that to be true. Stay tuned to find out what song it will be and much more.
Also, don’t forget to go vote for Bloodbath (and much more) in the 2008 Terrorizer’s readers poll!
